I need some help on trying to hook up my gateway p-6831 fx laptop to my Panasonic HDTV. The laptop only has VGA and HDMI outputs, but I'm not sure if that is compatible with the tv that I have. The back of the tv looks like this -

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can get this to work in anyway, it will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Sorry about the cross posting. BTW, thanks for the help, hope it works.

Also, what do I have to do about the sound so that it plays through the TV and not the laptop?

I was reading some of the reviews on the items posted up above and some said it was not meant for a computer, just wondering why people would have problems.

Your video card might have issues recognizing the set going through the component, but I doubt it.

I've done a VGA to component cable on my HDTV and it worked well.
