Hello there guys, I have just received my 9500 from hp with a 8600m GS, yet when I play the game I get this ugly effect at long distances as you can see from the screenshots, this sucks especially for someone who plays counter strikee source competively. The models at faraway distances also blend in with the wind! So i can not tell if they are CT or T!!! Can someone please help me?

You have textures set to low, and you don't have any anisotropic filtering enabled. That's why it's hard to see texture detail in the distance.

but i have always played with the same settings on all my computers and I have never gotten this effect before!

well in cs, go to the video settings tab, and set everything to default. Then download the latest nvidia drivers and reinstall cs. this should fix your prob.
rep me plz -
I tried what you did and it still does not work
and Oss I tried yours too I cant get rid of the effect
I can onl get rid of it switching to directx 8 but I dont want to use that option -
Happens to me to. It doesn't matter what setting you put it on and the higher the setting the worse, IMO. It is an effect of the map. I play competitively also and your right, it sucks. Just get used to it and play smart.

it may be an effect of the map but if I can make it go away by chaning the dx level to 8 then there is gotta be someway to change it a setting or something. Also I used to play this map on my old laptop with a 7600 with no problems at all!
