We need a guide on this (AMD Mobile GPU based system + HD3D). Perhaps one of the AMD system owners can chime in on this.

given that money is not an object, step 1 is to buy an nvidia card

From what I understand, it would be necessary to have HDMI 1.4 to do 3D over HDMI. Right?

what good are the 3d glasses in 2d mode? thanks though

    all input is appriciated.

too bad no one has a clue as to how to setup 3d with amd.

I guess ill have to try out the anaglyph modes instead.

one question how does anaglyph mode look compared to shutter mode? is it really a big differance>?

actually yes ... & that comes with the 6000 series I didn't see one of the 5000 series have it

for the projector to work in 3D "assuming that is possible with a 5000 series card" you need the ATI Catalyst hotfix 11.5a RC2 of may 12th because according to ATI:

"Support for additional Stereo 3D-capable displays:
    Viewsonic V3D241wm-LED
    3D Projectors"

which is in the release notes of the hotfix

On Benq's site they give instructions on how to set it up
    3dtv.at
they say to use that program for playing media

well thanks alot for all the help.

Guess what? I got it working !

i finally set my projector to 120hz mode via vga connection, the max for hdmi was 85hz.

now i can use iz3d or ddd drivers to get stereoscopic 3d.
one last question what type of glasses will work for amd hd3d or generic stereoscopic 3d>? will i need shutter glasses from a special company or will any stereo glasses work?
