Doom 3 would run pretty well. Don't expect too much out of R6Vegas because the game is HORRIBLY optimized. My 6800MGT + 1.8GHz Duo 2 Core can only run the game on 800x600 w/ med/low details/effects.

Shooters (I currently have them installed myself):
    - Half-Life 2 and its following episodes (one and two)
The Half-Life series is included in the Orange Box sold on Steam

    - Rainbow Six: Vegas
I can run it on low, so his GPU should do better. The game is horribly optimized unfortunately. Still a great shooter.

    - FEAR

    - Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
One of the best RTSs I've ever played

    - Age of Empires 3
    A classic.

    - Call of Duty 2 and 4
    Both are great war FPSs

I'm not sure how NFS MW or Carbon will run on your card, b/c I've only played ProStreet, and it runs pretty darn well on my 8600MGT w/ max resolution and settings.

I can only guess, but based on how they run on my computer...

Shooters (I currently have them installed myself):
    - Half-Life 2 and its following episodes (one and two)
The Half-Life series is included in the Orange Box sold on Steam
All of these should look awesome on maximum settings

    - Rainbow Six: Vegas
med-high, maybe less (again, this game was very poorly ported from Xbox 360)

    - FEAR
med-high (this game makes extensive use of shadows)

    - Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
maximum (I run with everything max except for AA and shadows, which are off altogether)

    - Age of Empires 3
maximum (may not run AA at max)

    - Call of Duty 2 and 4
CoD2 should run at very high settings
CoD4 might run at med-high (I'm very uncertain of this one)

Maybe some other members can pitch in on this speculation. ;)
