this could be big, we will have to wait and see and i'm not holding my breath on this one but it could be amazing considering how good of a movie avatar was.

I'd seen Avatar many times before it came out; a common complaint among older people who saw the versions involving Native Americans in their youth. The preachiness wasn't quite so fully in effect and up front back then because audiences weren't assumed to need spoon-feeding at every single point. I am, btw, part Native American; just saying before someone gets all revved up over my opinion. I do think a good game could be made in the universe, but it needs to be a lot less in the face before I'll want to play it.

I think it can go either way at this point... we've seen Ubisoft produce some awesome games but they also tend to mess up from time to time. I am a bit worried considering Valhalla (IMO) wasn't up to par with the previous AssCreed games but I may be biassed since I didn't like Odyssey too much either. But they do seem to be making awesome FarCry games and I loved the last two Ghost Recons as well.

    Let's see FC6 first :)

Idk this movie was one of the only ones I ever saw in 3d in the theater and it was great in that context, watching it later on in normal 2d screen it kinda was meh, generic new age sci fi stuff. Whatever happened to all those sequels that were going to come out, never materialized so far. I did at one time have the opportunity to work on his 3d camera system, and did work on developing new 3d projector tech, niche that kinda died off. Rather go to live theater tbh.

Don't get me wrong, the movie was a technical benchmark and could still be considered a school for the effective use of 3D in movie making. I also saw it in theaters and later had the 3D disk which was not initially for sale and could only be had if you bought a player from Toshiba or whoever it was; you also of course needed the TV. I had both; if anything it was better at home because you had a broader Z axis. Kinda sad that 3D didn't take off, when used for more than the gimmick jolt shots it was an effective tool. Prometheus was a good example but not the movie I had hoped we would get.

How exactly are you going to make a game out of this thing?
I could see possibly a good adventure / puzzle free motion game in first person view being made, but a shooter or a MMORPG? Dear god, no.
At the very least, they had better be using Unreal Engine 5.
