Yeah you can't upgrade parts of a notebook that easily, hence why people make huge a big deal when they buy one.

Try updating the drivers as Harper said. What exactly are the specs?

WoW should be able to run, just not at max. It may get laggy if there are a lot of people on the map though.

Lower the settings - else it is over heating so clean out the vents with compressed air.

What kind of internet plan are you on? Are you behind a router/firewall? Seriously, I can play WoW on my kid's 6 year old laptop with a 64MB video card. Your laptop, if set up properly, should run it just fine. "So yeah". :p

Also if your using vista, make sure you're not in power saver mode.

Let me put it to you this way: even if you were able to actually FIND a motherboard+video card, it would most likely cost more than your laptop itself, so it wouldn't be worth it. And as for your $200 mark, I think you'd be able to find a fried motherboard+video card for that much.

Control Panel\System and Maintenance\Performance Information and Tools

put that in the browser of "My Computer"
...and do you not get it, you can't change the graphics card in a laptop, with some exceptions

What video card did you find? If it's a desktop video card, it will not work.
