Hi, I'm getting a ps3 during summer and will also be moving from on campus next semester. I want to find a way to plug my console to my laptop as I will not buy a TV since my laptop is already equipped with a tv tuner... Any suggestions?

im confused as to what your asking, you have a tv tuner, so hwta more do you need.
and im sure there will be snarky dont gte ps3 comments, from someone, but pretty much they suck -
What you want is something that has zero lag. TV tuners usually have enough lag to kill you on gaming.
Something like the GameBridge adapter might help you out . . . but you might not be able to find it or get it working under Vista. Not sure to be honest. -
^like he said there is usually alot of lag, too bad the HDMI on laptops is never an input one
-
Yep ive been looking to change my monitor screen to accept input, nothing viable
Either way, the PS3 does not have built in VGA support, on the 360, its incredibly easy, you simply use one cable and youre off -
Has anyone ever used the gamebrigde?

why a buy a ps3 and connect it to compisite cables. sort of like buying a ferrari and never going over 50 mph.

just get a 24" pc monitor and plug your laptop and everything into the monitor. dont try using the laptop. theese devices are not widely used and are not that reliable.

About the Vista driver problems I found the solution: I'll just use my win2k virtual machine in unbuntu.

alright its your choice. have fun playing ps3 games on a 15" screen with low quality cables and devices. somthing i would never step down to.

Just get some good PC games to play on your laptop -

you could use the money you save by not getting a PS3/Gamebridge and get a nice gaming laptop.

. And there is no way to play mgs4(and a bunch of other games on pc anyway
).
