    Can't play CoD4 because I keep getting this error in-game and PB keeps kicking me. REALLY annoying knowing you have a legit copy and people who don't have an easier time playing on their servers. Anyway, so far I have tried re-installing CoD4-twice. Reinstalling PB so many times I have lost count, updating both to the most recent version, and typing "/pb_security 0" in the console in-game. NOTHING has worked and after about 3 minutes I always get kicked from servers. Please help.

    by reinstalling pb do you mean installing it from the game cd?

    what i do when punkbuster kicks me is:

    1: make sure the firewall allows punkbuster to run.

    2: download pbsetup from the punkbuster website and install the program to my computer, then install the cod4 version of punkbuster through the pbsetup program.

    that normally clears up punkbuster problems. i had this problem in bf2, bf2142 and cod4.

    1. turned my fire wall off, to no avail.
    2. downloaded both pbsetup, and pbsvc to install and update it manually, outside of cod4.
