Anyone else hyped up about this game? Only one month until its out.
I had a chance to play it with a Korean guy who lives on my floor. I couldn't understand anything but I was so relieved it wasn't a remake like the last two previous versions were. Everything including the feel is new.
Thoughts?

Pokemon?
OMG.
lol.
I remember those days.
The original pokemon was the best. -
As you can tell, I'd rather stare are girls walking around campus in summer clothes, but others would rather stare at pixelated little monsters.
Oh well, to each his own -
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I've always enjoyed the Pokemon gameboy games........ whatever the merits of the rest of the Pokemon juggernaut, I've always found the actual games to be really fun and enjoyable RPG's.
I'm particularly looking forward to the online component, since I've never personally known anyone else who played Pokemon, so never got to really enjoy that multiplayer and trading aspect of the game. -
I've always been a fan of the actual game(not the spinoff TV/card game/etc.)
WiFi battles FTW -
Its gonna be awesome on DS

Oh Well, To each his own.
Pokemon is, and forever will be one of the dopest RPG's forever implanted in my heart. Though i would like to get it, but i would have a hard time fighting it off my sister and my g/f's little bro. A MMORPG type title would really draw me in if they put the right stuff into it. By that i mean, a party of 4 , with 6 pokemon each doesnt sound too fun, but i'd probably bite into it.
**hehe rem. when you use to glitch on red/blue and get Missingno and he would F'up your saved game? All that for 99 rare candies! **

Pokemon is all about building the perfect team. It is like playing chess where the pieces have unique abilities. And btw the original pokemon is not the best. I bet you haven't even played the newer versions.
-
Played the first couple of games from when I was 7 to about 9. Too easy and not enough longevity
-
I don't know LFC the last one I finished (ruby) took me 55 hours to complete the main quest and then there was the optional ones + catching all the pokemon (which I never did). And I think I died about 30+ times which is a lot considering I was trying to use strategy, I think I died ~15 times on the final bosses alone.
-
I think I've got a copy of Sapphire clocked at around 120 hours and I stopped playing after I got myself a full team of Lv100s bred to work with each other strategically.

Wow... Pokemon... the good old days where I would spend countless hours trying to "catch 'em all". God, that was such a waste of time... still, I'll probably get this game just for nostalgic values.
-
I would accually consider buying this game and a DS if it has WiFi over the net. Even more opponents. I haven't played since Red but it was a very entertaining game. -

Game looks awesome...... a lot better than pokemon battle revolution...
-
Remember when there were only 150 pokemon? lol but I havent played since the red/blue/yellow versions. My friends seem to be really excited about this release though. I personally was never a big fan of turn based games, but I guess most RPGs are like that =/
PS: although I really enjoyed playing advance wars series =)

Re Pokemon: I mean the quest is too short. You can finish it like that and after that, unless you are serious about your multi-player, "gotta get them all" or 6 to Lv100 is pretty tedious
Re advance wars: awesome games. 2 years to complete AW1+2 on GBA. Fiendishly hard. Hopefully will get a black DS Lite one day and play AW DS -
While I'm probably too old (I turn 20 this year (bloody hell)), I've finished every one of the previous main games (except for green, which is in japanese) and I want to finish this as well. Damn, I want a DS.
