Trying to figure out what is going wrong, Desktop specs
    8800GT OC by MSI
    Q6600
    XP SP2

Game running at 1440 x 900 and is around 15fps, I read something about disabling HID devices and yesterday that seemed to help and I was getting about 30+ fps but now today it's back down to 15 fps, the HID devices are still disabled in Device Manager , any help?

Also wondering how to disable HID devices on Windows 7? I think I am getting the same issue on my LG P300

    Thanks

Yes it's the HID devices that are causing the low fps'

Just disable them all except for your keyboard and mouse.

I'm not quite sure where to do this in Windows 7 though. Try Control Panel and search something like Devices manager..

Do some googling and you'll find it :)

    Good luck

How were you able to get the resolution to 1400x?

The maximum res. I can select is 1280x.

Prototype is a console port so something like this is to be expected.Textures look the same on either low, med, high you would barely notice any kind of difference.

    Try this, http://tinyurl.com/ko8s2j

If you do try it, remember to do a backup of the file before you do it.

Something is definitely wrong. I get an average of 25FPS on my laptop with a Core 2 Duo 2GHz and a 9650mGT, running at 1280x800.

Now your resolution is higher than mine, but your video card is also at least twice as fast as mine.

Don't know , not a member there, and I have the same problem on my P300 so I didn't feel I should double post.
