    Just a heads up to you people that have the orange box pre-ordered on steam. Portal is now up for pre-load so you can download the game now and have it ready instead of waiting till next week when steam is gonna get smashed. I got nice 500KB+ speeds and its interesting alot of the info is already downloaded beforehand because the download starts somwhere in the 70 percent range.

    EDIT: HALF LIFE 2 EP 2 NOW UP FOR PRE-LOAD!!

    they always start in the 70% range, thats how it was with everything i downloaded from steam i dont know why i think its a bug

    btw i just recently played episode 1....and i was horribly disappointed, i thought it really...really..sucked. we'll see how ep2 turns out

    BF2142 went so horribly witht he preload, alot of people had to d/l from scratch because of bugs.

    I think I may have to get the orange box just for portals tho, that game looks like fun.

    Yeah I didn't play episode one until I pre-ordered too. Yeah it was ok, not terrible not as great has hf2 which was basically the reviews said. It was rather short though I finished it a bit over 4.5 hours. I'm not complaining I essentially got 3 games for 45 bucks and am enjoying the tf2 beta immmensely. Episode two is supposed to have 20-30% more content than ep 1 and I definitely can't wait to try out the strider buster weapon and fight the hunters.

    Not a bug. Because most Valve games share the same engine, you only need to download the new stuff - given that you have another Valve game already downloaded (ie. HL2).

    Some people are speculating that the female character (Chell) plot from portal might make a showing in ep 2 as in just some allusions and hints to portal. In episode 3 I hear Chell will make an appearance.
