I recently purchased an HP all-in-one desktop. I opted for the maximum upgrades that were offered which included an NVidia GT 230M with 1Gb DDR.

My experience so far running processor intensive apps for video and photo editing has been terrific. I don't game much, but I occasionally enjoy playing GTA4 and I've become addicted to the 'Just Cause 2' demo. On this note, graphics at the 1920x1080 native res of the screen can be rather choppy, frame rates often drop down to low 20's or slightly worse with medium settings.

I understand I'm limited in physical space and power availability, but is there any card I could safely and easily swap in for a bit better performance? I've come across a couple potential options (namely the 335M) but I'm unfamiliar with newer PC/graphics technology and form factors. Any help?

Actually my first question is do you even know that 230M is a discrete? Sounds to me it's an integrated. The low, entry level tend to be integrated graphics.

A selling point of All-in-ones are its slimness so using laptop components(like Ram) which are designed to be used in cramped spaces is a good fit.
Also, upgrading a desktop is still a desktop question so thread closed.

FYI, lowering the in game resolution and/or settings is a good way to play modern games with a computer with lacking hardware.

    Thanks for your cooperation.
