    Possibly a stupid question...

....but this is my first laptop, and I don't really know all that much about them....I'm just wondering, has anyone ever had a problem with certain keys on the keyboard becoming worn down (like, depressed or less sensitive over time) from playing a lot of games? I've been getting into halo recently, and I found myself thinking that with the amount of time I spend playing it and, specifically, running forward ("w" key), I might need to worry about wearing out the keys I use most often to game.

Has anyone ever had a problem with this? If so, is it the kind of thing that can be easily repaired?

Nah, what kind of laptop do yo have? The only thing that might happen is that those keys might get a little greasy due to your fingers sweating but that's about it. My old laptop I did some heavy gaming on for three years and up until today the keyboard works like a champ.

It's a toshiba satellite, A215-S4757. So far it's been pretty damn good, I just worry, since I'm a student and don't have another 8-900 bucks to shell out if I screw it up royally. :p

The Oils form my finger seem to have discolored the Direction Scroll pad that's between the Left/Right click buttons on my TouchPad.

I have also heard of MACBook keys being faded.

BTW, They have Keyboard covers that fit perfectly and actually feel more comfortable and reduce noise. Google your Laptop Model & Keyboard cover.
