I' haven't got my notebook yet but there's something minor I'd like clearing up. A lot of people on these forums seem to recommend downloading drivers from sites that patch the latest desktop Nvidia drives (such as laptopvideo2go.com) for more up to date drivers with better performance and features. If I was to use these instead of drivers that are specifically for a notebook would I still be able to use Nvidia's "PowerMizer" to save battery life? How exactly does one enable and tweak these settings, is it just part of the driver control panel or does it just work automatically? I know I'll be able to figure this out myself once I get my notebook but it would be nice to know beforehand, thanks for your help.

The updated drivers give better performace and unlock setting that the stock drivers dont e.g. the number of frames to render ahead. Also it unlocks the temp sensor so you can see the GPU temp.
Powermizer still works fine. I read somewhere that in some driver versions it doesnt work but it seems to work fine with mine. I am using 84.63. In the Nvidia control panel there is a option for powermizer setting there. See the attachment.Attached Files:
