Just beat this game, enjoyed it and wanted to share a quick recap/review and some videos I made.

    Game Type - Action Platformer

Synopsis - Kingdom over run with evil sand army, possesed your brother now your trying to save your brother and the kingdom and the path from A to B is never easy...

Recap - So you may already know what to expect here, its like Tomb Raider on steriods, the environments are bigger, more complex and amazing.

Your character has the stamina of a thousand men and a pair of really good shoes to be running up walls, jumping huge gaps, and swinging around poles in a fashion that would make a Olympic gold medalist look like a noob.

I was really taken in by the environmental puzzles, most of them were not too hard to figure out but often times took a good amount of skill to actually execute the proper navigation needed to do them.

This is due to not only the characters amazing physical prowess but the magical powers he gains as you make your way though the game. The power to freeze water in place, the power to make objects appear in thin air, the power to fly through the air a short distance and home into an enemy. All of these must be used in conjunction with one another in perfect succession to make it through. Just pressing one button a second too late or having your timing off by a bit will spell failure.

But these challenges were fun not annoying and so I think thats the real core aspect of the game.

Combat is just button mashing sword swinging fun IMO. There are several upgrades to choose from as your character has an experience system and levels up and then you get to pick and upgrade to help you beat the game via a grid system (one upgrade leads to the next)

Enough with the written stuff, watching the videos will really showcase what the game is like more than anything. (dont watch the ending of 2nd video if you do not like spoilers though I do not think it matters on this game)

These are ATI Eyefinity videos aka 3 screen setup 6004x1200 resolution.

Youtube will not accept videos larger than 1920x1080 so I had to scale it down to 1920x386 so to view these videos you must watch in HD and full screen to see the details.

Oh this is a special gameplay video release for me, its my very first video set with commentary! Please let me know what you think and if you prefer just my high quality videos or if you like the additional commentary.

Good job Vicious. You do a good job with the commentary.

Only problem is that it's really hard to see. The triple monitor setup is really nice, but nowhere near ideal for recording and watching on Youtube.

Personally I would rather have the lower resolution of one monitor, and be able to see the entire game close up.

Yeah I know its hard to see but I like to mix some games with and some without because I am a big fan of eyefinity and like to show what it is capable of.

Since POP:FS was the first game I have played in a while with 100% perfect support for it that was how I was playing the game and recorded it.

Ya, no doubt it does look amazing, it's just hard to see since it's so small (for me at least).

I would rather have full screen on Youtube with 1080p. Sometimes 720p depending on your video settings.

All my videos are pro quality no matter what I do since I have a good process of encoding. I work with everything lossless until the final encode where I use really high quality x264 settings.

I do not do any editing on the gameplay videos though its a direct encode from fraps and I just merge all the files together with a avisynth script.

It was definitely fun if not more of the same. I especially liked the platforming sections where you had to switch back and forth between multiple powers(turning water to ice, viewing the past, etc.)

It's a fun game with the new elemental powers, but I miss the block-counterattack mechanics. A hack'n'slash without a block button? Who does the Prince think he is, Dante?

On the other hand, it forces the player to take a proactive approach to crowd-control combat and not just spam the counterattacks.

Excellent review, I like what you've done!

It makes me want to go back and finish the game.. I got through about 30% of it before I got bored and never touched it again.

    Wow eyefinity rocks. I wish!

This game is definitely on my list but I am holding out for a good deal. ;-)

2 more games that do not nativly support eyefinity but can be hacked.

Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light, and Darksiders.

Im thinking abuot giving Darksiders a shot, not too interested in the Laura Croft game.
