I wasn't sure where to post this, but It's related to gaming.
I've just bought Neverwinter Nights 2, for my Laptop.
It's a Zepto 3145w
Nvidia 8600m GT 512mb Card
Windows Vista
4Gb Ram
Dual Core 2.2ghz Processor
And I get to play for maybe half an hour to an hour and then my laptop switches off.
The Bottom of my laptop is quite Hot, so It's obviously over-heating.
I was wondering if there is anything I can do, or maybe my laptop is melting away.
I've only had it since January and I haven't used it for any gaming within the last month or so, or any kind of CPU melting programs. But Neverwinter Nights 2 isn't exactly a high spec like Crisis, so I can't imagine the game doing this.
Cheers.

If you are certain it's overheating, then purchase a notebook cooler. Alternatively, you could downclock your GPU or play in an air conditioned room or on a more heat conductive surface.

A number of things can cause or contribute to overheating:
It could be dust build-up; different systems accumulate dust at different rates, even if the system is new. Use a can of compressed air and a vacuum cleaner (press it up against the vents)
Update your graphics driver with the newest one from www.laptopvideo2go.com; stock drivers are often second rate quality.
Defrag your HD as well.
Is the unit hot in just one area? If so, you can Google around and find what component is overheating (if it is one component). In most cases, it is either the GPU or CPU.
Also, uninstall any bloatware that may be stressing the system. -
A notebook cooler is a good idea if its overheating. Make sure to leave it on a hard surface like a table and make sure the vents are not blocked, keeping the back elevated slightly may also help to reduce temps

I think a Notebook Cooler is the answer. and maybe a Vacuum Cleaner. Thanks guys. =)
Problem - laptop shuts off after 1/2 hour of games
