I am trying to install the following driver for my Sony SZ notebook that has GeForce Go 7400
    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16276

I got an error message that said: "nVidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

This is not supposed to happen since I have Sony and my GeForce Go 7400 is supported by the original INF. How do I fix this problem without using modded INF?

I don't want to use modded INF because everytime I do it, my WinDVD Blu-Ray player stops working.

You need to use the modded INF. The original INF only has desktop cards, like the desktop GeForce 7400.

But according to the link, the original INF does support GeForce Go 7400. GeForce Go 7400 is a notebook card. So, it should work without modification.

It just doesn't. Replace the original with the modded, and it should work out fine.

As I indicated in the original thread, replacing the original with modded INF is not an option since everytime I do it, my WinDVD Blu-Ray Player stops working.

Your best off downloading your drivers from Nvidia then. Laptopvideo2go are desktop drivers modified to work on notebooks

Just resort to another driver version. The one you posted is back from November. Vista drivers get better and better after each release. It's the matter of determine which one is right for you... :)

Unfortunately, there is no GeForce Go 7400 driver available from Nvidia website. And when I use automatic driver detection, they refer me to Sony website but the driver from Sony is very old. The latest one they have is Forceware 98.13.
