    Hi my name is Justin and was wondering if I hook up a external GPU to my laptop using a pcie x16 expansion card when I understand hook it will I still be able to use my laptops GPU and what are the steps on doing so

    Depending on the implementation of the eGPU adapter, the presence of Optimus on the laptop, and the laptop itself, you can have both the eGPU and the dGPU active at the same time.
