I have Home Premium, and I follow all the steps in the upgrading driver guide (uninstall old driver, restart, install 7.2 catalyst) but the message "Setup unable to complete installation, try to set up display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup" always pops up. What does that mean?

You're probably using the desktop Catalyst. You need to get the mobility one from the AMD/ATI site. I think HP is a supported OEM so you should be able to download it without any problems. Run that and you shouldn't have any install issues.

Ah, then you downloaded the XP Mobility ones. Get Vista's.
