    So, I have the laptop you see in my signature and been playing BC2 for over 2 years but stopped some months ago. Everything was fine back then but now when I tried to play again, the GPU usage doesn't go above 50-60% which makes the game stutter like hell, even on the lowest settings. This only happens on MP, because on SP the game is silky smooth and GPU usage goes to 99%. I updated drivers, punkbuster, re-installed Windows, installed game from Origin and disk and it still happens. I remember I had this issue once but was fixed with a re-install. What may be causing this?

    Also, I removed the OC GPU and still happens. Only with this game.

    PS: I had posted this on original Clevo thread but maybe here is better as recommended.

    You mentioned else where that in task manager the CPU never hits 100%. It may be that one core is hitting 100% though. Try a process manager that can graph all cores. The graph lets you see what it looked like a few seconds ago, while the game was active. Also look to see if one program is using a lot of the CPU. You could try to kill off tasks, or close all other programs.

    Maybe someone else knows that game better, as I don't have it. But I still wonder if MP needs more CPU than SP does.

    You check VGA or CPU again.

    What Task Manager do you recommend?

    @kelybui
    What do you mean test it again?

    I don't know, it's a weird issue. Try these:

    Run the game in DX9 -

    Go to --- C:\Users\Username\Documents\BFBC2
    Open the file "settings.ini" with your text editor
    Change --- DxVersion=auto to DxVersion=9
    Save the change

    It sounds like it might be a driver issue, have you tried the old graphics driver that worked before?
    Downgrade your driver and try it.

    I don't remember what drivers I used before, but certainly was 13.1 maybe or I can even try some 2012 ones if I can find.

    Thanks ajdnindlo. I will post here the results shortly.

    EDIT: So, I put everything on minimum and turned DX9 and happens as described on the screenshots below.

    The GPU usage improved but the game stuttered like hell. Like turning the mouse and image stopped for couple of seconds sometimes. Still, I remember that before I used to use DX11 on the settings and GPU usage was always at 99% as is now with other games.

    Looks like the GPU might be holding it back. Try the latest drivers, try reducing AA, resolution, etc. Also, what does your network usage look like? Small chance it might be network lag.

    I have the latest drivers already, the 13.8 beta2 and also tried the latest 13.4 and still the same. I did reduce the settings and the usage increases a bit but still stutters, and before I used to play on 1080p, medium settings and was really smooth. Network is fine, no problem there :)

    @hockeymass, around 60-70ºC.
