So I downloaded and installed the 177.79 driver for my 9800m gt and now my system is telling me I have a different graphics card. Its telling me now that I have a g92-600, when clearly before it was listed as a 9800m gt. Is this a problem? What does it mean and should I uninstall it?

bump....anybody?

G92 is just the code-name for the GPU. Also, I think you're not supposed to bump within 24 hours.
Are you using older drivers? A quick google tells me that the 177.79 are official beta drivers, which may be why it is named like that. If you are not experiencing any problems, then it's probably fine -
sorry about the bump just worried....yea everything seems to be running fine.... if i start to notice problems then ill just reinstall my original drivers
