I have a XPS 15, with 2 GB Geforce 435 card, 4 GB Memory and an i7 Q240. The Problem is that Run gets slow on the system. I can play almost all other games. MW3, Arkham City. All i play. in max settings. But run doesnt even work well in medium settings. Is it due to a driver problem or that Run requires laptops like alienware to play? I find similar difficulty in other EA games releases too.. Battlefield, Hot Pursuit etc doesnt run perfectly on my laptop. I re formatted the system to make it well, updated the graphics card, no result. Anyone? Any other XPS users have similar problem? Let me know.

I found your problem.
You bought Need for Speed: The Run.
Sorry I have nothing else to add -
The game was likely poorly optimized.
Plus you have an incredibly weak GPU. I highly doubt you're playing MW3 maxed on a decent resolution...however, it was made for consoles so you never know. -
@incredibly weak? LOLZ
I completed crysis 1&2@720p high
COD BO@1080p high
bad company 2@900p@medium
nfs hp-1080p@high,shadows medium
as to OP's question,i dont have any problem with EA games.. -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Are you using Optimus?
Be sure that Nfs Run is added to the whitelist and is not running on your igp.
Also update your drivers to latest release over GeForce.com, 290.36.
The game isn't taxing specially at 720p. -
okay, whats white list and how to add to that list?
-
@i7freak, do you experience such problems with your xps?

I think "Incredibly weak" is exaggerated lol >_> the card is fine (with a little overclock) at 720p settings
for 1080p, its better off killing itself than going through that strain. The Gt 525m is a variant of that card (With more speed) and it ran my dirt 3 and Crysis 2 @ 720p well over 30fps
its most liekly the game was poorly optimized. -
