The problem exists in World in Conflict. I set the graphics to rendering in dx10, i restart game, and the game appears in a rainbow type manner where the darker shades are presented in purple and blue and the lighter shades are in yellow, green, and light blue. i have the 175.80 driver. is there something else in the graphics options that i am supposed to click

Try another driver, like the 177.xx series out at LaptopVideo2Go. Sounds like a driver issue.

Just turn off DX10 rendering, in WiC theres absolutely no graphical difference.
-
Driver issue for sure. I was getting the same thing in WiC, Call of Juraez, and Company of Heroes.
I was using 175.75 and went to 177.32 or something like that and everything was fine. -
WIC has minimal difference between DX10 and DX9, where is that the buildings windows glass is slightly better, also when a bomb explodes the ground is a bit darker than dx9 thats it, not fanboism or anything, its just a fact.
-
It doesn't much BUT it freaking change the atmosphere. The clouds' shadows... really big differance there. The debris' animations are better too.
-

It depends on whether you like your game to crawl along or run swiftly. When I use DX10 I have to turn the settings down so that it makes very little difference to the perceived view compared to DX9.

-
Alright. you have a DX10 card you know better
-
Yes I agree with you JCMS. Clouds, debris and such effects looks better in DX10 than in DX9. With DX10 you have real volumetric clouds and other smoke effects, shadows is slightly better too in DX10.
-
Yeah.. trust me, everything looks better in DX10.
-
yea new driver worked well. the only reason i had wanted to switch to dx10 was because after about an hour play of WiC the game would shut off sayin low memory. i dont know if it is possible but since choosing dx10 rendering i have not expreienced that problem again
