I have a XPS 1330 2.2ghz 3gigs RAM 8400m GS. Used to game a lot but have recently stopped as I have grown bored of it. So I overclocked my card a little with performance 3D in Rivatuner. Now that I don't play games, I try to set it to the original settings or if possible underclock it. I would drag all the bars to the left with changing the performance 3D to standard 2D. I've tried a lot in many ways with Rivatuner to underclock it, but it keeps staying the same if I restart the notebook. The Hardware Monitoring still has it as the overclocked settings.

I've tried downgrading the driver on dell drivers, I think 175 series. I've gotten my drivers from laptops2govideo. I dual monitor with my 19inch TV, and once i downgrade my driver, it effects the resolution with my monitor, which is the main screen. Had to go back to the 180.42 to fix that issue. I want to underclock it or set it back to normal clock speeds, but it always resets

Ah. Have you tried nTune? NVIDIA's latest System Toolset should work for you. You can download it here.
