This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hey guys i dont' know if anyone else has had this problem before, but when i update steam, it always stops at 27% and never progresses

    Close down Steam entirely and try this:

    Navigate to your Steam root folder (by default it's C:\Program Files\Steam\), and delete clientregistry.blob, Steam.dll, and SteamUI.dll, then start Steam again.

    I'd try deleting the files in the steam folder (not the folders, just the files) except for steam.exe, and it should self repair.
