I just got need for speed "SHIFT" on my PC, the game (VIDEO,SOUND) works fine until I start a new game, it sends me an error report & will shut down the game. Any ideas ? PLEASE ADVISE! I AM USING- ATI VISIONTEK RADEON X1300 / GATEWAY GT5625E (CPU 1.60 GHZ, MEMORY 2046 MB) MAYBE MY VIDEO CARD IS THE PROBLEM?
THANKS,

Hello,
Does Need For Speed Need A External Controller For This Game To Work? I Was Thinking This Might Be Part Of My Problem.
Thanks,
Bt60 -
Yes, I'm afraid so. Even if you do manage to get that game running, the performance is going to be so bad that it will not be playable even on low settings.

External Controller is not required for the game. -
Hello this is notebookreview.com. Please note notebook in the name, as that is a significant indication.
But really c'mon. You are trying to use hardware that is very much outdated on a 2009 game with very good graphics. -
hELLO,
SO YOU ARE SAYING THAT MY VIDEO CARD IS THE PROBLEM? WHAT IS AN INEXPENSIVE UPGRADE TO GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED? ARE THERE ANY OTHER ADDITIONS TO MY COMPUTER I WILL NEED FOR THIS COMPUTER?
THANKS,
BT60 -
Wait, that's a desktop? LOL... didn't even read the whole thing.
Anyways, mod will probably move this thread since it's not notebook related. It's probably best you post this again in the sister site: Desktop Reviews - PC Reviews and Desktop Computer Buying Guide -
Hello,
I have sent this over to PC Review. Sorry for the confusion!
Thanks,

PS: My "CAPS" button on my other computer is on the fritz -
