So I have an ASUS ROG STRIX GL702ZC and I tried to output to my TV to play some Witcher 3 and it was kind of flickering some times not on and off but more like grey and white lines appearing in the bottom of the screen. After i spoke to a merchant I figured that the lines appeared every time it switched to the conversation menu and after I went in and out of it a couple of times the screen just filled up with gray/white noise and the HDMI seemingly disconnected on its own (even though it was still plugged) and reverted back to my laptop screen. I tried to use a different HDMI and the problem persisted even though it was way less noticeable. Anyone has any idea why is this happening? Is my GPU or its vRAM dying or is it just the HDMI and the connection it makes/refresh rates that cause these crashes? My games run flawlessly without any crashes or artifacts on my laptop's screen. The problem looked a lot like the attached image (not my image) but i could still see the game before totally crashing

Have you tried another HDMI cable?
That static you see is from the TV Tuner, thats not a signal from your laptop HDMI.Ilias_mcleg likes this. -
