Hi there, I recently have been getting headaches alot, maybe its because i use my laptop screen almost all day everyday and its a 60HZ, can someone please post a link to a webpage which lists the problems 60hertz offer? Ive read some forum posts about it, but havent found a website where it states that it causes problems officially.

Most laptop monitors are 60 Hz. I would suggest seeing a doctor on this one.

I'm on Lithus with this one. If it's causing you headahes then you there's something wrong. If it gets bad enough you could "possibly" have a seizure.

    Some basic checks:
-make sure you're not sitting too close to the monitor or too far away
-make sure the angle is right so you're not straining your neck etc. I have my laptop set on a higher surface and a I sit back so that there is no strain and I'm not too close etc.

    See a doctor.

You said you stare at it almost all day every day? Well there's your problem IMHO... Humans weren't meant to stare at computer screens all day (whether they're at 60hz or whatever) so lots of people would probably get headaches if they stared at screens that long!

Maybe try taking more and longer breaks.. go outside for some fresh air a few times or something :)

i knew 2 ppl who had the same problem. one person just wasn't drinking enough water and the other one dimmed his screen. u could also see if theres and otion to raise the refresh rate.

I doubt he's going to have a seizure.

I have the same problem, although not as much as I used to. When I was a kid I couldn't play the Super Nintendo or the early Gameboys. Both would give me a migraine if I played for any length of time. It wasn't a fluke either. EVERY time I played them I got a migraine. The regular NES didn't give me a headache. Very strange.

Chances are a doctor won't be able to do anything for you, but you can go ahead and try.

A doctor will give him a recommendation. A seizure "is" a "possibility." I don't want to to tell the man he's not going to have a seizure and him have a seizure. I'm not taking responsibility for anyone's physical well being lol.

Are you wearing glasses? I can wear my glasses when I read and just walking around but if I try and wear them when I watch tv or on my laptop I get dizzy.

Yes, I wear glasses, but seeing a doctor is a waste of money he will only say stop using the computer as much haha, is there a webpage where the specifically list the problems of 60 refresh rate? I just want to read up on it is all.

There are no problems with the 60 Hz refresh rate. The problem's with your eyes and body. You might be able to get a motion sickness bracelet as sometimes, that is what causes the headaches.

Yeah this is a problem for me in gaming. Especially Half Life 1. I can only play the game for about 10 minutes until I feel like throwing up. Therefore I've never been able to finish Half Life 1, and this upsets me! I've never had this problem with any other game though.
