I am not sure if it is the problem of my display or what,
I dont have any problem with other games, like Crysis, Crysis Warhead, etc.

but when I try to change the resolution from it's default 1024x640 to my screen resolution (1920x1200), it appears like as shown in the print screen below, and nothing happen since then.

I've tried to change to other resolutions, the same thing happened again. The weird thing is, the game was not "without responding". Music keeps on playing, and it appeared as "Running" in the Task Manager...

    could anyone help??

Uhm, maybe your GPU can't handle that resolution. Just a guess. My other suggestion is to update your driver.

Edit: Doh I just saw you are SLI, sorry. I know that a new beta driver was released for nVidia desktop GPUs yesterday specifically for FC 2. I am guessing it has something to do with SLI and drivers though. Can you run it non-SLI?

There was a problem with FC2 and SLi, I don't know if it has been solved with the latest Nvidia drivers...

Do you mean that I could have FC2 run normally if SLI is disabled?

You can download the most recent 180.42 at nVidia.com, it's a beta, not WHQL yet but it's optimized for FC2.
Laptopvideo2go.com has that one also with a modded .inf file for the GFX cards not supported by the original nVidia beta version.
The one from LTV2Go is smaller in size only because it's better compressed.
    Cheers.

the problem is with the 180.42 driver i believe, if the user is trying to initiate the game under Vista with Dx9, he gets a blackscreen, so what you need to do is try to force DX10 and see what happens

    Try this

Go to Compatibility tab of the Far Cry 2.exe and tick the "Disable desktop composition" option.

    Thanks mate,
I have updated to 180.42, everything is fine with FC2 now,
jz a very little unsmooth.. so i'll see if there're any upcoming stable version of this driver.

    Cheers
