    Problems with Laptop, LCD-TV & DVI-D

    Guys,

    I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW LCD TV and a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 (Geforce Go 7600), so recently I bought a DVI-D cable to connect them together.

    Now the problem is that when I've got it connected at 1400x900 the LCD TV screen switches to a black screen repeatedly (usually when there is alot of activity or I'm resizing windows from maximum to mimimum).
    Now, I would have thought it would be the LCD TV not liking the signal or refresh rate however I've connected it using a VGA cable and its fine - no problem all no matter how much I mimimise my windows or put alot of activity on screen. To complicate things even more, when I'm running the screens in "Dual Screen" mode rather than "Clone" if I set one of them 1400x900 @ 59hz in 16bit it works fine....?? Can someone please help as this is doing my head in as I can't figure out what the hell is causing it!

    I've included a list below of all the different resolutions / screen modes I've tried it in and the outcome.

    1280x1024 Toshiba on Samsung 940MW set to clone (with

    32bit colour) using 3m DVI
    59hz - no option
    60hz - works fine
    75hz - works fine

    1440x900 Toshiba on Samsung 940MW set to Dual screen (with

    16bit colour) using 3m DVI
    59hz - works fine
    60hz - very rarely flashes black when resizing.
    75hz - intermitantly flashes black when resizing.
