Hello, I just recently purchased an Asus G1S. I installed the game and expansion fine, however when I go to play it says the CD is not detected. Could anyone please help?
-
You have Vista? I was experiencing that problem with KOTOR 2 and I have Vista Business.
-
Yes I have Vista but I ran it w/ XP compatibility
-
Hmmm. That's odd man. Try running normally, not with XP compatibility mode on. Because Warcraft 3 on my Vista Business works fine.
-
Is there a CD and DVD version of warcraft 3? And if so is it possible I have the CD version and my laptop only has a dvd drive so it won't work? That's the only thing i can think of.

A $1900 Asus G1s can play CDs. You're probably running into the disc check verification, and failing. Make sure you clean your disc, maybe use a disc doctor or something.
-
what about no cd patch?
i like it alot more than hering the cd sping use battery and lag. -
Well my original wc3 cd-s always required a no-cd crack
-
then make or download an image of the disk and run it with deamon tools or just any software that runs virtual images!

I disagree. There's nothing illegal being discussed here. He's not looking to pirate the game or anything. He's just trying to find a crack to make the game work. It's a work around, not an illegal activity. -
i have the same problem as Mips. Anyone came up with a solution that actually does nto involve cracks?
-
You can get Nocd patches at www[dot]gamycopyworld[dot]com. And no NOCDs are not illegal or as bad as you know what. I have C&C3 and it gets annoying inserting CDs back and forth and switching with other games.
-
I like megagames[dot]com better than gamecopyworld. Just remember that using no cd crack won't let you play online.
-
Please list the exact wording in the problem and I'll search for a legitament fix. I do not recommend no cd hacks, as they usually cause only more issues and headahe.
