Alright, I plan to play video games on my laptop (things like Oblivion or Unreal Tournament 3)

    Should I go with:

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM

    OR

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM

    EDIT: I use 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GT

I plan on using windows xp.... should I use vista?

A better processor will not hurt. Many people prefer a processor with 4MB L2 cache. Also 2GB RAM is enough with xp, and if you want more, you can upgrade it later (is cheap), while you cannot upgrade so easily a processor (if possible, I'm not sure on that).

Go with the processor. RAM can be easily and cheaply upgraded later. Neither will help much with gaming.

Option 2 with the T7500. Then later you can do the RAM if you need to. With Vista, you should have 3GB. XP, you will probably be fine with 2GB. XP is best for gaming money wise.

    Hope I could Help

Agreed, get the faster processor. Neither upgrade is going to make much of a difference as noted, but the processor will do more for you than the extra GB of RAM.
