hi. i read on one of the forums that a centrino 1.8 ghz processor is equivalent to a pentium 3 ghz or sumfin. any truth to this ? just curious!![]()

Yes, the highly-optimized architecture of the Pentium-M allows it to run at speeds equivalent to those of Pentium 4s with much higher clock speeds. Yep, all the AMD processors and the Intel Pentium M do more work per clock cycle therefore their performance is higher for a lower clock speed.
