Looks awesome. I'm thinking of buying it.
Anyone already playing? Got any impressions to share? Please absolutely not spoiliing though.

I absolutely love it, it is very similar to the first one but with better graphics and a more realistic world in my opinion.
Performance is non consistent whether I max everything out or have everything on low. I get from 40 - 60 fps but it feels smooth anyway.
Many people on the Steam forums have had bugs and broken mission problems preventing progress. Mine wouldn't even start up unless I added -window to my shortcut but I haven't had any other problems so far.
The gameplay has been improved, you get more powers, abilities and what you start of with is also improved. Despite the problems some have had which seems to be a lottery, I strongly recommend this game if you loved the first one. -
Only bad thing about this game is that Activision shut down the devs before they released the PC port so i am not sure how the support for this game will be.
Probably end up picking it up on the Winter sale or something. -
going for it at Steam Christmas sales.. going to be a blast for my wallet

I can't believe I paid for this game. I can't even play. Granted I'm using a Russian version, but even using a VPN connection, I can't play it in English, because the files don't even download. Once patched, it just cycles through loading infinitely.
Even if I got to play it, it seems to be atrocious. Framerate affects the mouse so it becomes unusable.
- This review is using a 3920+GTX 680 and 32GB and SSD, and only can get 30 FPS in this game. But the textures are very low quality.
I was really looking forward to this game. I agree, Activision is so weird. This is a game PC Gamers were waiting for, and many willing to pay good money for it, and we get rubbish.

That's a bummer! I was considering picking it up around winter time too.

It's a good game! For whatever reason, I'm having some mouse input lag issues though, while my frame rate is still good..

I just finished it yesterday and I thought it was amazing. The graphics and world were so much better than in the previous game. I didn't have any lag issues, I never actually checked my framerate but it felt silky smooth to me.
I played with a 360 controller, I had no issues of any kind.
Ran maxed out 1080p, I have a 580m. -
Wanted to get it until I saw TB's review of it too. Now I'll probably buy it for Xbox and only when it's discounted. It's quite sad because the first one was a great (if not very good looking) game

(Thank you. Try the veal). -
I was really looking forward to having a blast seeing lots of HD textures on the bloody explosions and a smoother experience with controls than previous. That was my hope.

Man I was looking forward to buying this game till I watched that damn video... I might just wait and pick it up when it's on sale...
-
That's sad as I really loved the first game because how epic the battles were.
Here's hoping it's not that bad! -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Guys even with performance issues I say try it. The game gets better with missions, specially when u unlock some side quests.
The combat is smooth, the city is big and alive, it looks very close to infamous series, and this is a good thing .
There's plenty to do, the upgrade system is rewarding and you can do bonus missions using the Radnet to unlock more and more things.
The performance issues are there even if you're on green or red side. Game usually drops to 45fps in crowded area, but that happens when the gpu utilization takes a big hit (around 50%).
This is on my desktop, maxed out + fxaa texture enhancer, which has a 2500k/560ti 448 @ 900/1800/200, which should destroy this game.
But also people with new amd and Nvidia cards have the same performance issues if not worse.
A good temp fix would be limit the framerate using MSI AB around 45fps. -
I am playing too with the Xbox controller, and no issues so far. I really like the graphics and I am currently playing with the default settings, high at 1600x900 resolution.

Ok, this is such a shameful situation, and disappointing.
The game is ludicrous amounts of fun. Flying around, running up wall, throwing bodies into walls and watching the explosion of blood, picking up cars to throw at helicopters, and picking up trucks and running around crushing soldiers is endless fun.
It's a shame that it's a horrid console port.
I managed to get it running with a workaround, since Activision did not think it was important to fix. And got the mouse to work fine. I set it to vSync in game and forced vSync in my intel HD4000, since AMD's forced vSync rarely ever works.
I would be happy to highly recommend this game if it wasn't an awful console port. As it is, I'd say it's worth at most $15. The textures are atrocious and considering it's a low texture DX9 with unimpressive use of lighting, shadows, post-processing, only getting 30-50 FPS is pitiful.
