Prototype PC Help!

My friend just gave me this game and I was playing it through until I reached a level where I need to hijack a helicopter and scan those tanks. It tells to press tab to lockon the tower and press scan. But I seem to find out which key to press. I tried pressing all the keys in my keyboard as well as there is not any specific setting for scan key in keyboard settings menu. Any idea how to get it through??

Nah...I dont have xbox controller.
As I told before I pressed each and every key of keyboard.

Hmm, i forget this part... its been awhile since i played it

If i remember correctly though, in that "Scan" icon (with the button) there should be a indicator of what button it is to push... so try going into options, and making sure theres a key set for it.

 

Nops there is no any indication. I have attached the screenshot. It just says to scan. What key did you presses to scan? Was it grab,jump,.....??

Right click doesnot work.

 

to be honest, i dont even remember "scanning" them... i remember just blowing them apart and then going to collect the little stuff that comes out.

But check your options and controls set



edit... well doing some searching... this is how you should be able to do it.

so, again, there should definetly be a key indicator not just that blank key... check controls.

Yup I kept it for 15 minues. It just tells me to scan it though there is not any buttons for that. Not even in the keyboard settings. Anyone having a save file of it so that I can skip this level?

Stupid question, did you press the little button that appears on the screen that says SCAN?

 

isnt there an option to go into options and set it up for any key you want.

 

Hmm, maybe its under a different control? As far as i can remember, many of the keys have multiple functions.

Well, i must have... i completed/beat the game...
...but it was awhile ago, so i just cant really remember.

 

That is my question. What to press when it says scan?
There is no any config for scan on keyboard settings.

 

is there any controls not assigned to a key?

if you would like, you could PM me, and upload your save game file... i could then open it up on my laptop and see what happens for me. Because i know i must have done it, if i beat the game

Could you tell me the location for save file?
I have prototype directory with 2 files,profiles.bin and slot-A.bin.
Are they the ones?

if so, just upload the whole Prototype folder to me.

 

It would be easier if you just bought a x360 wired controller, they are relatively cheap, and a lot of game(mostly ports) are better when played with it.

 

Pretty sure that's what I did.
