No. It doesn't worth it at all.
Moreover, Prototype graphics are not that good. Most of the thing are Texture Cheating.

USD15 or USD10. I guess these price is more worth it.

It was mediocre, IMO. I was really looking forward to it a couple of months ago, played about 5 hours and never touched it again. I'd save your money at 20$.

I loved that game, it was fun, you felt like an anti hero and you had a lot of freedom to do what ever you wanted to. The graphics weren't great but not too bad. I hope they bring out a sequel. How could anyone not enjoy throwing cars at helicopters, running over rooftops or turning your arms into deadly weapons. I guess everyone has their different tastes.

This games sound like for those who have mental problem or very stressful people. So, they can release their emotions in Prototype by throwing cars, whacking police, killing soldier, attacking zombies and absorbing people?
Save the USD 20, and grab a better games instead.

I enjoyed it, still play it occasionally.... I'd say for $20 it's definitely worth it if you like nonstop carnage and action.

From what I've played it's fun and pretty similar to Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (which in fact came out before Prototype). Though I believe the game and the main character Alex Mercer is a bit overrated and that WOS gets some hate because people think it ripped off Prototype when that came out first. But to answer the question I'd say it's an okay price.

good and fun! graphics are top notch too, not bad for a whole city in chaos, if the graphics got any better youd be having GTA IV problems, well optimized and just plain destruction fun, great to release stress and unwind :p i do i mean did, mw2 takes care of me now lol

The graphism are OK, but it is mindless fun, I think of it as Serious-Sam fun in a GTA world, ie turn off your brain and enjoy the chaos.

Prototype gameplay consists of massacre after massacre. That doesn't mean the story isn't interesting, though. If you like that sort of thing and you aren't bothered by the mediocre graphics, then buy it.

Incidentally, the reason why the graphics are so "meh" is because there is so much happening on screen at one time that GTA4 graphics would require an absolutely top-end rig.

I had it on 360 and didn't think the graphics were "meh". Of course there are better looking games on the pc but most people here don't have to laptop to even run it maxed out ;)

I bought it at release for $50 and played it for like an hour.. lol.

I've been meaning to go back to it and give it a proper run-down, but haven't had time. Semester break starts next week, just found another game to put on my list of re-visits.

But it did appear to be a fun game, just lacked the lasting appeal most good games have. I would probably pay $25 for it. Hell, I usually buy every game that drops to $25 from $50. I'm a sucker for the 50% or 75% off signs lol.

    Prototype is definitely worth $20.

The gameplay got a bit stale after a while but for the first playthrough it was a pretty damn good experience.

So I watched the gameplay clip, this guy is killing every human being in sight, and crashing every car on his way, and leaving pieces of corpses on the ground, and I guess he regenerates HP by eating flesh >.>>>>> o_O
Whats the fun in this >.<

Depends on what kind of games you like really..
Like to roam enlessly a là FC2, FUEL, GTA?

Then get it, you get to explore a lot and smash everything in the most wicked ways. But beware; attention span failure.. (tends to bore after a while)
