Hi there friends. First of all i'm a really really big fan of open-world games especially if it's action-adventure or action-RPG... to be honest i never tired of playing those kind of games even if it's somewhat booooring to others.
I stumbled across this game called 'Prototype', i did a research on Youtube. This game looks cool, but i want to hear from you guys if you already played Prototype, i just wanted to know if it's worth buying. Just write a small review of Prototype and what are the things you liked from this game.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Prototype. I've played it a number of times, and for my personal experience, it was very enjoyable and fun. That's mostly because I'm a fan of single-player platforming with a good storyline (like Batman AA).
There's a good amount of gore in here, but nothing that upset me; I have a somewhat weak stomach. Also there's the whole horror-genre with a virus taking over the city.
A couple of bosses are a little more difficult than others, but if you're creative, you can figure out how to beat them.
Also, the storyline is very fun...even after repeated playthroughs. There are, of course, upgrades to go after, items to hunt down, and so forth.
But the best part is, after you've gotten all the upgrades...you feel like a superhuman. Alex can do some pretty amazing things

I've only played an hour of it and haven't gone back to finish it. It's been over a year now.

I say yes! Its a fun game to play and its made from the same people who made Hulk Ultimate Destruction if you ever played that. Action is over the top and the game is lengthy enough to be worth your value.

I thought it was pretty fun, good for some carnage. I bought it when it was new for $50, but I don't think it was worth that much. If you can pick it up for ~$25 then definitely grab it.

Ok then, i'm gonna have to play this game!
Thank you so much for the review it means a lot. -
Hulk Ultimate Destruction?! Then i really have to play this game!
Thanks for the review man! -
Thanks man!

Well, I really enjoyed it except for that on the PC, the cutscenes tend to lag and stutter a lot. From what I can tell, it isn't just my computer but a rather widespread bug.
-
The plot parts weren't that great but the running around in between was awesome.
-
I wouldn't buy it at higher than $15. There's constant Steam sales on this game. Just wait for one.

I had fun with it but it got so repetitive and monotonous that I actually ended up not beating the game and uninstalling it about 3/4 through.
Similar games that I enjoyed more:
Darksiders - Same kind of combat but with dungeon exploration and RPG elements.
Devil May Cry Series - Any of them were pretty good and I think the core game many of these others are based on.
Prince of Persia Sands of Time - Awesome environments, great experience. -
I think you could wait a bit until black friday or christmas... those are the 2 big steam sale dates we have until next year. Or hope to be on discount one of this days -

I think Darksiders 2 is not far off....

Just posting without reading any of the posts. Prototype is fun but really once you play for a while, there's really nothing new you can do. Just slice up people.

I played half way through once and then started again after buying a better laptop and completed it. It is great fun, you feel like a uber powerful anti hero / super hero most of the time and it is a lot of fun. I am looking forward to when they release the sequel next year and will be buying that without a doubt!

I like it.
Sure it gets a bit repetitive towards the end (as expected) but imo it's an enjoyable & special experience, the open world and the over the top missions are well done overall.

Worth buying. I liked this game a lot. The amount of destruction in it is hardly comparable to any other game I've seen. Tonnes of fun. The game is a console port, a quadcore CPU is highly preferable to play it.
