Ok after doing an undervolt, i have pretty much brought my laptops GPU temps to like 70C while gaming 1hr+.
I already got the max core clock on rivatuner 675.
Is there a way, or another OC utility to push the card a bit further?
Or is this too dangerous? even if my temps are nice.

Download ATITool and check for artifacts. If there are none, ATITool will allow you to set the clockspeed, so just type in 680mhz, scan and keep adding 5mhz and scan for artifacts.

Personally dont go too high. This is comming from expierence. I was able to hold a higher and higher clock without artifacting with ATITool. I ran 3d mark06 after running ATI tool for 45 minutes and full screen of artifacts within 30 seconds and had caused permanent damage to the GFX card. My temperatures were in the mid 60s.

Sounds like your temperature monitor was out. Never heard of one doing damage at 60 degrees.

You guys forget that there is no temp sensor for the gpu memory, only the core.
People get permanent artifacting, like what happened to X2P because of the GPU memory fried -
Good point.

Everyone pretty much knows the "reasonable" oc'ing range for the 8400/8600 GDDR3 cards. I would honestly just stay within that if you must OC. Like others have said, last thing you wan't to do is fry your card (which to me, I don't care if you are under warranty and can cover it up, you should still be out). If you find you just cannot play the games you want to play, either turn res/settings down. Buy a new laptop, or do like me start building a bad-arse desktop. And when I mean start, I mean I have the parts picked out in my head

Ok but if i dont touch the memory clock and just leave it at 731 (which it already is at), will i be able to push my core?
example. My clocks right now are 675/731
If i pushed my card on ATITOOL
700/731, this cant fry the memory right? -
Well put it this way: if the temps are below 85C and AtiTOOL doesn't show artefacts, you're good to go.
Just , for safety, get a notebook cooler.
And raise the back of the notebook a bit , yadda yadda
Pushing 8400M GT yet further?
