Hi lately I've been wanting to try out some new games, but my graphics card doesn't even meet the requirements. :(

I need to know if I can change the graphics card on my laptop: HP pavilion zd7000. I won't be getting a new one for awhile. If I can change it, can you recommend anything good for gaming yet at an affordable price?

    Thanks.

EDIT: Oh btw, the graphics card is an NVidia GeForce4 448 Go

No way to change the graphic card. How old is your laptop? Seems like a pretty dated card, no offense.

Just read a review about it... seems in 04 that thing was a beast, weighing in around $2,600! (This one did have 512m of RAM and a P4 3.2Ghz)

~99% of all laptops cant have their GPU changed...Read this thread( upgrading mobile video cards) for more information about the exceptions.

A desktop is an excellent choice for a gamer that doesn't move around. However if you need mobility(and want to game) then a la[top is probably your only choice depending on your needs. Notebooks with good GPUs are pretty affordable(depending on your needs/wants) but they will never be as powerful as "gaming desktop".

If you're comfortable enough, I would recommend building your own computer. If you're not knowledgeable enough, it's really not that difficult to learn, as there are tons of guides online and you can get help with what parts to buy in forums. It's much cheaper to build a computer yourself, and you'll be able to get better gaming performance for less.
