Might be awhile before we see this in desktop GPU's, let alone laptop ones, but it's good to know they're coming along on new graphics technology nonetheless.

Yeah I heard last year about many manufacturers that they are skipping on GDDR4
From what I heard and unserstood. GDDR4 runs at the same clocks as GDDR3, but feature 2x the bandwidth. So GDDR4 2000 should be the same as a theorical GDDR3 4000. However, it doesn't seem to be the case in real world. The GDDR4 editions of ATI's card aren't really performing better than their GDDR3 counterparts
