Thinking about giving myself options with a smaller machine than the 17-incher with the 8560w (or even may give the W530 a try).

I'm wondering how the K2000M handles 'consumer graphics' in addition to the usual Quadro-optimised stuff. How does it compare to what it is on the Geforce side, presumably the 650M?

Why don't you just purchase a notebook that has a Geforce, isn't the Quadro line mainly for people that design stuff. Do the Quadro drivers even have the stuff to support gaming?

    That's what I'm asking.

I think the K2000M performs similarly to the Gefore 650M, however I would expect it to perform slightly worse in gaming because the Quadros may lack a few Geforce features. You could probably still game with a the K2M but I would play it safe with the 650M.

No, I'm specifically asking about the K2000M. Ideally from someone who has it.

(And ideally ideally from someone who has both the 650M and it)

That is a hard combination since I doubt anyone has a Thinkpad W530 and a 650M-derivative machine at once for the moment...

As I said - ideally ideally, but failing that ideally will be fine.

Sincerely, get the clocks, get the vram type, take a look at the gt 650m benchies available here, and you have your ideally ideally comparison.

I would also remove 10% from that performance.
