    Hello,

I've been thinking of buying a new laptop, and I need a video-editing card in it. After going over the Quadro line in nVidia's website, I noticed that they have 2 different types-the NVS and the FX (for notebooks; desktops just have FX).

    Which is better (newer/faster/cheaper)?

NVS Quadro Series - optimized for 2D (no games too)
Quadro FX Series - optimized for 3D applications.

    that's it.
