The collector's edition of Quake IV came with an extra disc containing XP versions of Quake II and the two expansions; The Reckoning and Ground Zero. When I try to play The Reckoning, it plays the opening cut scene, says "loading" and then turns to black. Ground Zero plays, but only in a window within windows. The graphics modes it uses are: default OpenGL, 3Dfx OpenGL and PowerVR OpenGL.

I got the game to run on my old Gateway (P4 1.6ghz, Radeon Mobility 7500 64mb, Windows XP pro) flawlessly but it will not go run right on my current notebook (see sig). I think it might have something to do with widescreen.

    Any suggestions?
