Anyone that had the Quake Wars beta, can you post some screenshots, and your specs. Also, if your an over achiever, could you put a video up on YouTube, using Fraps? Rep will be awarded :)

Graphics are nothing to write home about, they are on very similar to BF: 2142 in appearance.

    Gameplay is really fun though.

Well hopefully unlike 2142 this game would not be so buggy...

iD is in my opinion one of the best computer game designers in the industry. I don't think it'll be like BF2142.

Is it DX10? Just wondering. I'm still using a Geforce 6800GT on my desktop and a Geforce Go 6600 on my laptop. :( I was hoping to make the game look as pretty as possible even without DX10.

qwet is too fast in my opinion. i wanted something slower and a bit more tactical.

group up ---> objective is the low end of tactical. not much thinking is required. I wanted something at about the pace of rainbow six: ravenshield. or maybe GRAW speed, you guys know what that is. QWET is actually faster than BF2, and thats not a good thing imo. It plays a LOT like a kind of hybrid Enemy Territory / Battlefield 2

Yeah. Enemy Territory matches were always way too fast. I prefer GRAW speed, and I'm talking about the Xbox 360 version. I didn't like the PC version of GRAW.

pc graw sucks. i agree. i don't have a 360, but i dont play GRAW either... i just know about how fast it is.

i was hoping the GDF would sort of be powerful in small fireteams and that the strogg would be faster and stronger, but possibly be restricted to a closer effective range of combat. strogg sniper just seems weird. strogg medic? even more so out of place. strogg dont need medics... they just die and stroggify more victims. how sweet would it be if the strogg medic could just spawn a strogg via a downed (not dead) GDF, instead of creating a spawn point...

i think they just totally missed the mark on not only the feel of the game, but also failed to get the ambiance right. bringing ET to the quake universe should have brought a lot of changes to the table.

I know, I'm just saying that I'm glad that I'm able to max it all out with my dual 8800 ultras and of course, my overclocked Intel Core 2 Exreme Quad-core (overlocked to 3.2 ghz). ^_^
