Wow....just wow. This game looks like it came from 2001. I couldn't believe how crap the graphics are, and I'm running at 1680x1050 max settings, 8x AA. They're not just mediocre, they're appalling.... it looks like a freeware game, and that's the truth. The sound effects are terrible.
I just couldn't believe how bland, drab and uninspired this game is. Installed it today, couldn't wait. Am quite frankly in shock at the result....and disappointed isn't a strong enough word.
I never really liked BF2142, but it's like a godsend compared to this.
I'm not one to hate the 'popular' thing, and I spent well earned money on the special edition of it too, with all the cards.
I am very curious to everyone elses opinions. Oh and - I used to play Wolfenstein non-stop back in the day.
I simply can't believe how poor the game is. I just can't. It looks and plays like a ropey Playstation 2 game.

I actually love the game. But then again I have always been a Quake fanboy. I don't see what is wrong with the graphics, I think they are enjoyable, but then again I don't run every game on max with everything / everything (dont have my new laptop yet
)
Either way, for playability and fun factor I can play that game for a few hours at a time before I feel that I am getting fatigued on it. The vehicles are fun, the classes (while near 100% similar) offer a few different ways of play depending on being a strogg or human.
I don't know. I guess when I bought the game I had no expectations really. I honestly thought I wouldn't like it because I loathed the battlefield games. But it turned out to be quite fun for me.
Overall, I would give it somewhere around an 8 out of 10.
P.S. This is the kind of game you might have to force your self to play for a couple of hours...I have noticed that for some people it really has to "grow" on them over time. -
I played the demo, and I as well was quite disappointed with the graphics. Especially since I had just finnished playing bioshock. I did not play it enough to make an informed decision about the game play, but I didn't enjoy it. I really liked all the other quake games, and they had amazing graphics for their time.

The graphics may not be top notch compared to today's shooters, but i find the gameplay very interesting. It has a little of both BF2 and old school Quake.

Ya I personally love it, i played the demo for a month with friends then we ent out and bought it. Graphics could be better but gameplay is solid imo. I like it more then BF series as the load times on their levels is ridicolousy long, while QW is quick
