Wonder how much MS paid Remedy for this act.

System requirements. Straight crazy. I'm glad I bought a laptop with a 980m in it rather than a 970m. Still not gonna be able to max it out, but maybe I'll get med/high mix.

Stop trying to make Windows 10 happen, Microsoft. It's not happening.

Perfect timing, just went back to using win10. Now all I have to do is remove the spyware
-
That game is made beautifully but I'm afraid things will get repetitive with the gameplay, story looks like It has potential.
And the Win10 DX12 excl is too much.... -
Thank goodness, a game I can't play
Keep those Windows 10 DX12 only games coming...
I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly byLast edited: Feb 11, 2016Woodking, H.A.L. 9000, Starlight5 and 2 others like this. -

Maybe I should look at some of those QB screenshots, see how it compares to ROTTR.
Also, is that the guy (main protagonist) from The Following. Glad to see he survived! He was probably one of the few who actually made it to the end.
-
I can tell they leak MS's butt just by looking at System requirements: even 2.6GHz intel quad core would be enough if they had used DX12 for real, not for money.
Otherwise where is that advantage of DX12 redmond claimed? -
People would have probably actually bought into Win 10 if the system requirements were less than that of Win 7 or 8.1.Kade Storm, Ashtrix, Ethrem and 2 others like this. -
Best news I've heard all day. I hope my laptop can handle it!
EDIT: if i can get 1080p30 on high settings then i am fine with that!Last edited: Feb 11, 2016hmscott likes this. -
For a dx12 flagship game and showpiece of why we should all be embracing W10, Microsoft should be trying to get it running on a calculator .Solo wing, transphasic, Ashtrix and 2 others like this. -

there's no option to get it separately but you have to pre-order the xb1 version to get the PC version...great!

Preorder Quantum Break for Xbox One, Get Free Copy for PC
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2499191,00.asp -
i don't want to pre-order the xbox one version just to get the PC version!!! JEEZ M$!
-
Maybe you can make back the cost by selling the XBone version?
Knowing MS you will need to register the XBone version to get the PC download, and then they won't let you sell it / transfer ownership of one without the other -
oh well....will wait and see!
-
If you get the game from Amazon, Prime members get it for 47.99 (discount applied in the cart).
I'm still not sold on pre-ordering a game but traditionally Remedy has been fairly solid and with having both the Xbox One and PC copies, if one sucks I can just use the other.hmscott likes this. -
Yeah I guess you get two copies for same price. /shrug/ I just hope you don't *need* an Xbox One to activate the PC copy. Will this be a Microsoft Store download? Geh, I sure hope not.

Microsoft is making a big push for Windows Store in 10 so it makes sense. -
Requirements have been updated, 980Ti is for Ultra, 970 for recommended:
https://twitter.com/QuantumBreak/status/698010560252674048 -
If preorder sales are low they will update it again featuring Windows 7 as supported OS... as minimum requirement, of course, they took Skynet's money afterall.
P.S. I can say that I will never buy this game for more than a bucks. -
-
so an i7-4700MQ meets the recommended spec requirements for the CPU if you go by the average passmark score.
the 980M meets the minimum but could push the recommended settings if i drop to 30fps.
it should be playable on my laptop -

Probably for desktops use Windows Store is of little necessity, but for tablets it's more useful. -
i am hoping this will be a good game

I thought dx12 is supposed to allow weaker cpus to play fine in games.....
16gb ram recommended! WTH. Just upgraded to that and thought it was plenty!

Hopefully nVidia releases a working SLI profile for this one or we see some of this magic multi GPU scaling we were promised in DX12 but the system requirements for Ultra are absolutely insane. My system would be able to run Ultra if SLI support is there although a CPU repaste may be in order first if I'm going to run my 4940MX at 4GHz for an extended period of time. The Division really hammered it, mid 80s the whole time.

Do you hate desktop users that much. I mean, I would have expect something like this from D2 Ultima, but you...

Is it "safe" nowadays to upgrade to Win10? Considering bricked screens and whatnot. I'm on a Clevo P771ZM win8.1.
Quantum Break coming to PC, but only Win10
