Any thoughts into making a dedicated server thread? Not a friends thread but a server thread, listing good server and bad?

Some servers say they kick for punkbuster violations and so forth but others dont care. Some are great servers... some have lots of boosting and cheating.

I think it would help a lot.

    Best wishes,
    StevenX

I can't guarantee it, but if you start a list and promise to maintain it, it will be sticky. We don't have the time or resources to do those things ourselves, but if one of the members wants to do it, the mods are usually quite happy to make them sticky (if it's not going to clutter the forum too much)

Get the list started, organize it by game or something, and once you think you have something good, ask a mod to make it sticky. Make sure the list is the first post in the thread if you want it stickied.

Ok... I will think of a format and get it started. Is there any rules against posting server names or admin emails, Groups? The other issue is that I dont want people to complain against servers for ping issues. A network issue is a network issue and as long as the server is quality most of the time shouldnt be counted against the server.

The only problem is ping has a lot to do with your geographic location, and the location of the server itself. Servers that are good for you may not work so well for people overseas or on the other side of the country. If you want to do it for US based players then you may want to consider 3 zones (west, central, and eastern) so players can get find servers that they actually have a decent latency to. I know back in the day when I ran game servers I was a total ping snob lol. Anyway just food for thought.

    Cheers!
