Hey guys so I just bought a new laptop and I feel like I was a little mislead.

The link to the laptop is here: HP ENVY 6z-1100 Sleekbook | HP® Official Store

It is the HP Envy 6z-1100 Sleekbook.

Now, I bought this machine with the AMD Quad-Core A10-4655M Processor (2.8GHz/2.0GHz, 4MB L2 Cache) + HD 7500G Discrete-Class Graphics. I thought that APU's have a built in GPU and doing a little research I found out that the A10-4655M came with the Radeon 7620G. That being said I was under the impression the laptop would have 2 graphics cards, the 7620G and the 7500G. When I started up the computer, updated all my drivers, I noticed that I only had the 7620G under "display adapters." Did they forget to put the 7500G in my computer or am I missing something?

    Thank you!

Nothing is missing you got it wrong.

HD 7620G is integrated to your CPU (APU) Trinity chip.

Nope it is all good. Apparently they are just too lazy to put the correct information.

Both of those models are integrated graphics, and it is displaying the correct one out of the two.

In short, you didn't jipped. You should only have one.

i know nothing about amd but heres a write up on it Second-Generation AMD A-Series APUs Enable Best-in-Class PC Mobility, Entertainment, and Gaming Experience in Single Chip

what sort of games were you hoping to play. if its some of the latest titles then a dedicated gpu is almost a must now a days.

its entirely upto you but have you thought about getting a refund and if you have the quicker you do it the better as some places only give 7 days grace unless theres a fault with it.

if you do decide to get something else then post here first for advice > What Notebook Should I Buy? - A Laptop Buyers Guide

and fill this out and post it on that thread > http://forum.notebookreview.com/wha...ould-i-buy-form-must-read-before-posting.html

    good luck

Thats pretty sneaky advertising. Probably many who think they get a discrete GPU

    You`re right.

A10-4655M comes with HD 7620G, not 7500G. I don`t think that weak APU can match many notebooks with discrete GPUs + i5.

Yea but the price was really good, or I think it was good, came out to $487. With my budget of $500 it is the best I could fine. Thank you guys for clearing things up was getting sad because I did not want to send it back. I really only need the graphics for League of Legends and Tera. Nothing too extreme.

its a little bit faster than the 620m, but depends on the game, the ram speed, number of channels, clock speed

The cheapest I could find was Acer with GT630M with i5. $550. That notebook would spank that HP.
But very good price you got OP. Very good deal. I`m not entirely sure but I think the HP will do just fine with LoL and games like that :)
