This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    When I played QUAKE LIVE for the first time, it asked to allow Firefox through the Windows Firewall. My question is, is this safe? Will it make browsing less secure?

    It'll be as secure as you make it I guess. Just avoid websites as you normally would that seem shady. I have my FF allowed through my firewall.. no problems here. Not much to worry about I'd say.
