Hello, I just wanted to get a few things cleared before I order this baby, is the graphics card inside this machine a fx1600m really a 8700m gt counterpart? How can one confirm this? Also if I downloaded the 158.45 drivers for the fx1600m it would completely change itself to become a 8700mgt correct? Because as people said its the driver that makes the card. Just wanted to get these questions answered before I order, thanks!

Yes, this card is the same as the 8700m-GT. Installing geforce forceware drivers will give it the full functionality of the 8700M-GT.

No, bottom line is that if you don't do 3d modeling, you only use it for gaming, then you do want Geforce drivers. I will give you slightly boosted framerates, and much better compatibility in next-gen games. However, if you do any 3d modeling work, you'll definitely want to use Quadro drivers for that.
